Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 4: +1,010 soldiers and 28 artillery systems more

Over the past day, Russian forces lost 1,010 soldiers on the front line. A tank and several armored combat vehicles were also destroyed, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the Russian forces from February 24, 2022, to August 4, 2025, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 1,057,140 (+1,010) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,068;
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,079 (+8);
- artillery systems - 31,025 (+43);
- MLRS - 1,452;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,203;
- aircraft - 421;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 49,451 (+77) units;
- cruise missiles - 3,553 (+1);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 57,244 (+85) units;
- special equipment - 3,935.
Russian army losses
Between August 2 and 3, Russian forces lost another 920 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed 43 artillery systems, 135 vehicles, and 178 drones.
Total Russia's losses since the start of the full-scale invasion have now exceeded 1 million personnel.
