Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 3: +920 soldiers and 43 artillery systems more

Over the past day, from August 2 to 3, Russia lost another 920 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 43 artillery systems and 135 vehicles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022, to August 3, 2025, are approximately as follows:
- personnel - about 1,056,130 (+920) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,068;
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,071 (+2);
- artillery systems - 31,025 (+43);
- MLRS - 1,452;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,203;
- aircraft - 421;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 49,374 (+178) units;
- cruise missiles - 3,551;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 57,159 (+135) units;
- special equipment - 3,935.
Situation on the frontlines
As of the evening of August 2, there were 104 combat engagements reported across the frontline. Russian forces launched attacks in 12 directions, with the highest intensity observed in the Pokrovsk direction.
In particular, the enemy attempted to break through Ukrainian defenses 28 times near the settlements of Poltavka, Popiv Yar, Volodymyrivka, Zapovidne, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Sukhietske, Rodynske, Lisivka, Novopavlivka, Pokrovsk, Zviriache, Vdale, Zelenyi Kut, and Novoukrainka.
