Over the past day, the Russian army lost about 850 soldiers on the front lines. It also lost various military equipment, including armored personnel carriers and drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to August 29, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • Personnel - approximately 1,080,480 (+850) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • Tanks - 11,143 (+4);
  • Troop-carrying AFVs - 23,191 (+6);
  • Artillery systems - 32,125 (+61);
  • MLRS - 1,476 (+2);
  • Anti-aircraft systems - 1,213 (+1);
  • Aircraft - 422;
  • Helicopters - 340;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 54,375 (+414);
  • Cruise missiles - 3,626 (28);
  • Warships/boats - 28;
  • Submarines - 1;
  • Vehicles and fuel tanks - 60,116 (+109);
  • Special equipment - 3,952 (+2).

Over the past day, Russian troops lost 880 of their soldiers, 4 tanks, 40 artillery systems, 7 armored combat vehicles, 2 multiple launch rocket systems, 325 drones, one heavy flamethrower system, 120 vehicles, and two pieces of special equipment in Ukraine.
