Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 26: +1,140 troops and 47 artillery systems

Over the last day, from August 25 to 26, the Russians lost 1,140 soldiers, an air defense system, and 47 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to August 26, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 608,820 (+1140) troops;
- tanks - 8551 (+4) units;
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,648 (+17) units;
- artillery systems - 17,443 (+47) units;
- MLRS - 1172 (+1) units;
- anti-aircraft defense systems - 937 (+1) units;
- aircraft - 367 units;
- helicopters - 328 units;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 14,134 (+39) units;
- cruise missiles - 2,444 units;
- warships/boats - 28 units;
- submarines - 1 unit;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 23,555 (+80) units;
- special equipment - 2941 (+13) units.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated over 8,000 Russian soldiers and over 10 Russian air defense systems over the week.
According to ISW, the Russian invaders advanced near the city of Toretsk in the Donetsk region.
Meanwhile, the Russians are currently carrying out one of the largest attacks on Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war.
