Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 21: +1,210 troops and 60 artillery systems

Over the last 24 hours, from August 20 to 21, the Russians lost 1,210 soldiers, 2 air defense systems 60 artillery systems, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to August 21, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 603,010 (+1210) troops;
- tanks - 8522 (+4);
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,542 (+21);
- artillery systems - 17,216 (+60);
- MLRS - 1166;
- anti-aircraft warfare systems - 928 (+2);
- aircraft - 367;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 13,902 (+38);
- cruise missiles - 2,442 (+4);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 23,221 (+79);
- special equipment - 2887 (+2).
To recap, ISW analysts do not rule out that the Russians may slow down their approach to Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region.
In particular, this may happen because the Russian army has moved a part of a division from Donbas to the Kursk region.
Since Tuesday evening, Ukraine has been under a large-scale Russian drone attack. In many regions, the attack is still ongoing. In Kyiv, the alarm was raised four times during the night.
