Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 12: +1,000 troops, air defense, tanks
In the past 24 hours, on August 11, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated an additional 1,080 Russian terrorists, bringing Russia's total personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to approximately 592,000, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to August 12, 2024, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 592,000 (+1,080) troops;
- tanks - 8,450 (+3);
- armored personnel vehicles - 16,368 (+5);
- artillery systems - 16,728 (+65);
- MLRS - 1,146 (+3);
- anti-air warfare systems - 919 (+1);
- aircraft - 366;
- helicopters - 328;
- UAVs operational-tactical level - 13,472 (+73);
- cruise missiles - 2,426 (+1);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tankers - 22,590 (+66);
- special equipment - 2,801 (+1).

Situation on the front
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, there were 124 combat clashes on the frontlines over the past 24 hours, with the most intense fighting reported in the Pokrovsk direction.
Analysts from the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) have noted that in recent days, Russian forces have likely made advances near Novoselivske and Vodyane.
