Russia's losses in Ukraine as of August 10: +950 troops and tanks

Over the past 24 hours, from August 9 to 10, Russian forces lost an additional 950 soldiers on the front line. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also destroyed one tank, 70 artillery units, and 140 drones, according to the report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to August 10, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 1,063,240 (+950) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 11,089 (+1);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 23,107 (+4);
- artillery systems - 31,343 (+70);
- MLRS - 1,460 (+4);
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,204;
- aircraft - 421;
- helicopters - 340;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 50,455 (+140);
- cruise missiles - 3,556 (+1);
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 57,982 (+136);
- special equipment - 3,936
Frontline situation
As of the evening of August 9, there were 118 combat engagements reported over the past 24 hours. Notably, 30 of these took place in the Pokrovsk direction alone.
On this front, the enemy attempted to break through the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ defenses near the settlements of Poltavka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Dachne, and in the direction of Novoukrainka, Pokrovske, Sukhetske, and Zatyshok.
