Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 29: +1,180 troops and 1,775 drones

A new report from Ukraine's General Staff includes 1,180 Russian servicemembers killed and wounded in the past day alone. Ukrainian soldiers also destroyed a large amount of the enemy's military equipment.
From February 24, 2022, to April 29, 2026, the estimated combat losses of the Russian army amounted to:
- Personnel — nearly 1,328,820 (+1,180)

- Armored combat vehicles — 24,486 (+3)
- Artillery systems — 40,825 (+54)
- MLRS — 1,755
- Air defense systems — 1,356 (+2)
- Aircraft — 435

- Cruise missiles — 4,579

Frontline situation
On April 28, Russia launched strikes on several regions of Ukraine, including Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. Among the affected targets were a hospital and a kindergarten.
Meanwhile, Ukrainian drones struck the oil terminal in Tuapse, Krasnodar region of Russia. It is the third strike in the past two weeks. Local authorities have been forced to evacuate residents as a massive fire has engulfed the impact sites.
