Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 27: +1,030 troops, dozens of artillery systems, 8 tanks

Ukraine's Defense Forces eliminated another 1,030 Russian soldiers in a single day, bringing the total enemy personnel losses to over 948,000 soldiers. Additionally, the defenders destroyed 8 tanks, 42 artillery systems, and 1 multiple rocket launcher (MRL) of the enemy, according to the Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 27, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 948,640 (+1,030) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,719 (+8);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,325 (+5);
- artillery systems - 27,007 (+42);
- MLRS - 1,373 (+1);
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,145;
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 34,011 (+114);
- cruise missiles - 3,196;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 46,187 (+136);
- special equipment - 3,860.
Frontline situation
As of the evening report on April 26, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces informed that 162 combat engagements took place on the frontlines since the start of the day.
The military command also stated that the Pokrovsk direction remains the hottest area, where the enemy launched particularly active attacks. Russian army losses in this region for the day amounted to 330 soldiers.
Additionally, in a new report by the American Institute for the Study of War (ISW), it was noted that Ukrainian defenders made progress near Pokrovsk. At the same time, there was movement from Russian forces near Novopavlivka, Kurakhove, and Velyka Novosilka, as well as in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
Furthermore, on April 26, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine refuted claims by the Russian side regarding the situation in the Kursk region, explaining that the operation by Ukraine's Defense Forces is still ongoing in that area.
