Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian defenders eliminated another 1,110 Russian occupiers, bringing the total enemy personnel losses to over 947,000 troops. In addition, the Defense Forces destroyed 8 tanks, 70 artillery systems, and 1 enemy air defense system, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.

The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 26, 2025, are estimated to be:

  • personnel - about 947,610 (+1,100) Russian troops were eliminated;
  • tanks - 10,711 (+8);
  • troop-carrying AFVs - 22,320 (+5);
  • artillery systems - 26,965 (+70);
  • MLRS - 1,372;
  • anti-aircraft systems - 1,144 (+1);
  • aircraft - 370;
  • helicopters - 335;
  • UAV operational-tactical level - 33,897 (+118);
  • cruise missiles - 3,196 (+48);
  • warships/boats - 28;
  • submarines - 1;
  • vehicles and fuel tanks - 46,051 (+145);
  • special equipment - 3,860.

Situation on the front line

According to the evening update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 25, a total of 116 combat engagements were recorded on the front line since the beginning of the day.

The military command also reported that Russian forces were actively conducting assaults in two directions — specifically near Pokrovsk and in the Kursk sector.

Additionally, in a report published on April 26, experts from the US-based Institute for the Study of War (ISW) noted that Ukrainian Defense Forces had recently advanced in the western part of Zaporizhzhia region. Meanwhile, Russian forces were reported to be making gains near Pokrovsk, as well as in Sumy and Kursk regions.
