Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 2: over 1,400 troops and 24 AFVs

Over the past day, from April 1 to April 2, Russian forces lost 1,410 soldiers and 24 troop-carrying AFVs on the front, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 2, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 918,180 (+1,410) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,515 (+10);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 21,880 (+24);
- artillery systems - 25,576 (+24);
- MLRS - 1,347;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,123;
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 31,505 (+43);
- cruise missiles - 3,123;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 42,687 (+41);
- special equipment - 3,787.
Situation on front and Russian attacks
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russian forces achieved success in the Lyman, Pokrovsk, and Kurakhove directions, as well as in the Kursk and Belgorod regions.
At night, enemy strike drones attacked civilian enterprises in Kharkiv.
Large-scale fires broke out at the crash sites of the debris, and there are casualties.
