Frontline situation
Ukraine's Defense Forces carried out a series of strikes on key Russian targets, including drone storage sites near Donetsk airport, using cruise missiles and guided bombs. They also targeted ammunition depots in the Zaporizhzhia and Donetsk regions with strike drones. The operations are aimed at reducing Russia's offensive capabilities and weakening its position along the front line.
Meanwhile, Russian forces struck the Pechenihy Reservoir with guided bombs, targeting areas near the dam during peak spring water levels, which could have caused severe flooding and environmental damage. After failing to inflict real damage, Russia launched a disinformation campaign, spreading false claims about a damaged dam and emergency water discharge. Ukrainian officials confirmed the dam remains intact, with water levels under full control and no immediate threat.
