Russia's losses in Ukraine as of April 13: 1,220 troops and over 260 units of equipment

Over the past day, from April 12 to 13, Russia lost more than 1,200 troops in its war against Ukraine, along with a significant number of artillery systems and drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The total combat Russian losses from February 24, 2022, to April 13, 2025, are estimated to be:
- personnel - about 932,670 (+1,220) Russian troops were eliminated;
- tanks - 10,603 (+12);
- troop-carrying AFVs - 22,088 (+33);
- artillery systems - 25,163 (+71);
- MLRS - 1,362;
- anti-aircraft systems - 1,128 (1);
- aircraft - 370;
- helicopters - 335;
- UAV operational-tactical level - 32,425 (+147);
- cruise missiles - 3,145;
- warships/boats - 28;
- submarines - 1;
- vehicles and fuel tanks - 43,950 (+143);
- special equipment - 3,799 (+1).
Situation at the front
On the night of April 13, Russian forces again launched Shahed attack drones against Ukraine.
According to the Institute for the Study of War (ISW), Russia is experimenting with new tactics for drone strikes across the country.
Meanwhile, Russian troops continue unsuccessful attempts to locate weak points in the defense forces in the Sumy region.
