Russia's losses in a week: 3 aircraft, a ship, nearly 9,000 soldiers
Ukraine's commander of the Ground Forces Oleksandr Pavliuk released data on Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine for the week of May 19 to 26. The Armed Forces of Ukraine downed three planes, destroyed a ship, and eliminated 8,900 soldiers.
The total combat losses of the Russian military on May 19-26 are approximately:
- 8,900 personnel eliminated,
- tanks - 86 units
- armored combat vehicles - 173 units,
- artillery systems - 266 units,
- MLRS - 9 units,
- air defense systems - 11 units,
- aircraft - 3 units,
- ship - 1 unit,
- operational and tactical level UAVs - 270 units
- cruise missiles - 5 units
- automotive vehicles and tankers - 388 units
- special equipment - 34 units.
Russia's losses in Ukraine
This week Russia broke a new record of 500,000 troops lost.
The Armed Forces of Ukraine shot down three aircraft. Yesterday, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that another Russian Su-25 was downed in the Donetsk region.
On May 19, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed another Russian ship. It was the Kovrovets naval minesweeper.
Over the past week, the Ukrainian Armed Forces eliminated 10,000 enemy personnel and shot down four airplanes and one helicopter.
