Russia's losses as of August 18: 2 helicopters and almost 500 of troops
According to the Ukrainian Armed Forces General Staff's Facebook page, as of Friday morning, August 18, Russia's losses in the war in Ukraine amounted to 460 occupiers. The total number of casualties for the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 256,510 military personnel. In addition, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed two helicopters and 24 enemy artillery systems.
The total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 18.08.23 were approximately:
- personnel ‒ about 256,510 (+460) persons were liquidated,
- tanks ‒ 4332 (+3),
- APV ‒ 8410 (+12),
- artillery systems – 5193 (+24),
- MLRS – 714 (+0),
- anti-aircraft warfare systems ‒ 486 (+0),
- aircraft – 315 (+0),
- helicopters – 316 (+2),
- UAV operational-tactical level – 4276 (+4),
- cruise missiles ‒ 1406 (+0),
- warships / boats ‒ 18 (+0),
- vehicles and fuel tanks – 7658 (+17),
- special equipment ‒ 783 (+10).
Frontline situation
According to the latest data from the General Staff, Ukrainian fighters continue to conduct offensive operations along the entire front line.
