Russia's linking of Ukraine to Moscow terror attack is Kremlin propaganda, White House says
Statements about alleged ties between Ukraine and the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall near Moscow is Kremlin propaganda, states John Kirby, White House National Security Council Coordinator.
The White House has dismissed Russia's claims that the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall is linked to Ukraine.
"There was no linkage to Ukraine," Kirby said.
A White House official added that this is simply "more Kremlin propaganda."
Terrorist attack near Moscow
On Friday, March 22, armed assailants stormed the Crocus City Hall shopping center near Moscow. They began shooting civilians.
It later emerged that the incident occurred during a concert by the Russian band Picnic at the shopping center. There was a large gathering of people.
During the shooting, explosions were heard several times in the shopping center. A fire also broke out. As a result of the terrorist attack, over 100 deaths and a large number of injuries are known.
The Russian authorities have already claimed to have arrested four suspects in the terrorist attack, who are foreign nationals.
In turn, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin, reacting to the terrorist attack, fantasized that the suspects were supposedly heading towards Ukraine, "where they were going to be helped to cross the border."
