Russia's drone attack: Fires in Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia region reported

On the night of April 3-4, Russian forces launched a massive drone attack on Ukraine. At least the Kharkiv, Dnipro, and Zaporizhzhia regions were affected by the attacks and their aftermath.
Kharkiv
Starting at 21:58 Kyiv time, explosions were heard in Kharkiv. Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported at least two strikes by Shahed drones in the Novobavarskyi district of the city. Specifically, one hit a two-story building (causing a fire), and another struck an apartment block.
"As a result of the enemy strike, the roof of the high-rise building caught fire over an area of 500 square meters, as well as seven vehicles and two apartments covering a total of 70 square meters," reported Oleh Syniehubov, head of the Kharkiv regional military administration.
As of 00:40 Kyiv time, it was reported that 32 people were injured in the attack, including one child, and two people were killed. Additionally, three people may still be under the rubble. Later, Terekhov clarified that rescuers had recovered fragments of a third body.

The State Emergency Service (SES) shared photos of the aftermath of Russia's attack on Kharkiv.
"In the evening of April 3, Russian drones attacked one of Kharkiv's districts. As a result of strikes on residential buildings and an administrative facility, four fires broke out, covering more than 600 square meters," the statement says.
It also added that the bodies of two victims were recovered from the rubble. A total of 32 people were injured, including a child.
However, it is worth noting that the mayor of Kharkiv recently reported the recovery of a third body.
Dnipro
The head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional military administration confirmed earlier this night that the region was under a massive Shahed drone attack. Specifically, there were loud explosions in Dnipro and Kamianske.
"In the regional center, fires broke out. A house is burning in one of the districts. Administrative buildings have been damaged. We are verifying the information. Please stay in safe places!" he wrote at 00:53.
Shortly afterward, he added that, according to preliminary data, two people were injured in Dnipro, and they were provided assistance on-site.

"Three people are injured in Dnipro at the moment. A 66-year-old woman has been hospitalized in moderate condition. All have received medical assistance," reported the head of the regional administration.
Zaporizhzhia and Zaporizhzhia region
At 22:57 Kyiv time, explosions were heard in the Zaporizhzhia region. Several more explosions followed in different areas of Zaporizhzhia.
At 23:43, the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, reported that the enemy launched at least seven drones targeting Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area. As a result of the attack, a warehouse was damaged, and a non-residential building caught fire.
By 01:12, it was confirmed that a 63-year-old man had been injured in the attack. Medical personnel are providing him with all necessary assistance.

The State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SES) has shown photos of the aftermath of the nighttime Russian attack on the Zaporizhzhia district and shared details.
"On the night of April 4, Russian forces attacked the Zaporizhzhia district with strike drones. One of the enemy drones caused a fire in a store, covering an area of 100 square meters. The blast wave damaged neighboring houses and vehicles. The fire has been extinguished," the message reads.
The SES also confirmed the information from the head of the Regional military administration that a 63-year-old man was injured as a result of the shelling. Medical assistance was provided to him.

Fedorov clarified that, in addition to the man, a 70-year-old woman was also injured as a result of the Russian attack in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Kyiv region
As of 01:35, it was reported that the enemy attack also caused damage in the Kyiv region. In addition, at least one person was injured.
"As a result of the enemy UAV attack in the Brovary district, one person was injured. The man was hospitalized in a local hospital with preliminary injuries to his leg and neck. All necessary medical assistance is being provided," wrote the head of the regional administration, Mykola Kalashnyk.
He also reported that a fire broke out involving four trucks and one passenger car in a parking lot. The fire has been extinguished. Additionally, debris from downed enemy targets caused a fire in a car dealership building, preliminarily damaging five vehicles. That fire was also extinguished.
