Russian forces are using recruited mercenaries from African and Asian countries in assault operations on the Huliaipole axis, according to the 7th Air Assault Corps of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The 7th Air Assault Corps continues its defensive operation on the Huliaipole axis.

Last week, Ukraine's Defense Forces killed and wounded around 900 Russian servicemen, nearly 150 more than in the previous period. This was also the highest figure in the past two months.

Due to significant losses on the front lines, the Russian army has been forced to regroup, rotate troops and replace units.

In particular, according to available information, losses have prompted a replacement within Russia's 5th Combined Arms Army: the 57th Separate Guards Motor Rifle Brigade is being replaced by forces from the 60th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade.

After replenishing their personnel, Russian forces will attempt to restore the intensity of their assault operations.

Russia's main tactic remains infiltration by small infantry groups consisting of one to five servicemen.

At the same time, units operating in the 7th Air Assault Corps' area of responsibility have recorded the participation in assaults of not only Russian citizens but also foreigners. In particular, the Russian command is recruiting mercenaries from African and Asian countries to take part in combat operations on this axis.

Recruitment follows a classic pattern: foreigners are promised civilian jobs or safe military contract service.

Upon arrival, their documents and mobile phones are confiscated. After being cut off from communication, they are forcibly sent to the frontline.

Recently, Ukraine's Defense Forces captured an Indonesian citizen who was fighting as part of the 39th Separate Motor Rifle Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces on the Huliaipole axis.

African prisoners of war recently called for action to be taken to influence the Russian authorities and help them return home. They recorded an appeal to participants in the Russia-Africa summit, which was held in Moscow on October 28–29.
