Fighting for Pokrovsk
The epicenter of fighting in Donetsk region remains the Pokrovsk direction. Russian forces are attempting to encircle Pokrovsk from multiple directions, sending in additional troops.
Exploiting poor weather, including dense fog, Russian units have penetrated parts of Pokrovsk. Currently, over 300 occupiers are in the city.
Recently, Russian troops launched a massive assault on Pokrovsk along the Selidove–Pokrovsk route using light vehicles, achieving partial success.
According to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold Pokrovsk. There is no indication that Russian forces control the city or have encircled Ukrainian positions.
Syrskyi also noted that Russians are attempting to advance into apartment buildings in Pokrovsk and Myrnohrad, and the Ukrainian military has already prepared measures to counter these moves.
