Russia preparing new threats — special attention to Sumy region and Pokrovsk direction - Zelenskyy

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief. The threat from Russia and key front-line directions were discussed, the head of state announced this during his evening address.
"I held the meeting of the Staff of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief today. We received reports from our intelligence agencies — the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine and the Defense Intelligence — about the challenges expected this summer and autumn, and about Russia’s intentions. We discussed in detail which threats require responses," Zelenskyy said.
The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, also delivered a report. According to the president, the greatest attention was given to the situation in the Pokrovsk direction. The actions in the border areas of the Sumy region were also discussed separately.
"Sumy region — we continue to operate in the border area," Zelenskyy added.
Additionally, the president thanked all Ukrainian units operating on Russian territory.
Situation on the front
Earlier today, Zelenskyy said that Russian troops continue to suffer setbacks on the front — Russian soldiers have failed to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at key directions.
Meanwhile, Syrskyi reported that an enemy sabotage and reconnaissance group tried to break through to Pokrovsk. Ukrainian defenders stopped the enemy assault.
The Donetsk Operational-tactical group stated that the Defense Forces are conducting active measures against enemy sabotage and reconnaissance groups in Pokrovsk. According to the military, these sabotage groups are destroyed before reaching the city.
