Russian forces are preparing for assaults in the Kharkiv region. The enemy is likely amassing troops, as no attacks were carried out over the past day.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine, citing the Khortytsia operational-tactical group.

According to the military, the enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Kharkiv direction over the past day.

"The aggressor’s army is replenishing its units after recent losses and preparing to resume assault operations," the statement said.

Russian offensive in Kharkiv region

On April 9, it was reported that Russia had effectively begun an offensive in the Kharkiv region. According to Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrskyi, the number of battles has increased across all major directions.

At the same time, the Center for Countering Disinformation warned that despite the intensification of Russian attacks in the Kharkiv region, these actions should not be mistaken for a full-scale assault on the city of Kharkiv. The State Border Guard Service noted that the most threatening directions in the region are Vovchansk and Lyptsi.

Interestingly, Kharkiv city officials recently reported that Russian forces have adopted a new tactic in their attacks on the city. The occupiers now launch multiple drone strikes on the same location within a very short period of time.
