Situation in Dronivka, Donetsk region, remains tense as Russian troops attempt to build up resources in the Serebryanske forestry, according to Operation Task Force East.

Dronivka situation

Operation Task Force East reports that the situation near Dronivka in the Sloviansk direction remains tense. Since the start of the year, Russian forces have stepped up efforts to amass resources in the Serebryanske forestry.

The military explained that the enemy's ultimate goal is to establish complete control over the village of Dronivka and advance towards Platonivka and Zakitne.

"Our defenders are purposefully destroying the enemy's accumulation of transport and manpower in the Serebryanske forestry," the statement says.

Russian losses

Overall, within the Operation Task Force East area of responsibility, the enemy continues to suffer the greatest losses—373 soldiers in the last day.

In addition, 1907 UAVs of various types and 65 units of other weapons and equipment were destroyed, including two tanks.

The defense forces are focusing not only on eliminating enemy infantry but also drone operators. Over the past 24 hours, 47 russian UAV crews were targeted.

Sloviansk direction

Russian infantry groups are attempting to infiltrate Dronivka and bypass Ukrainian Armed Forces positions along the Siversk–Zakitne road. Russian troops are also applying heavy pressure toward Yampil.

Earlier, the military reported the enemy had tried to ferry personnel across the river near Dronivka, Platonivka, and Zakitne, including from the Yampil side, using motorized rubber boats.

The operation aimed to secure positions along the riverbank for deploying artillery and drones, as well as to gain control of logistical routes. However, Ukrainian defenders destroyed the enemy landing units and released combat footage of the operation.

According to the General Staff's latest data, on January 6, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks toward Riznykivka in the Sloviansk direction.
