Russia plans to 'resolve Ukrainian issue' by 2026 - Ukraine's Defense Intelligence

Russia plans to resolve the "Ukrainian issue" by 2026, otherwise, it will never be able to catch up with the United States (US) and China, Vadym Skibitsky, Representative of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence, reports.
According to Skibitsky, Russia has forecasted 15 potential military conflict scenarios up to 2045, with six of them involving Northern Europe.
"Northern Europe understands, the Baltic countries understand. Poland understands. For Poland, there are only four scenarios of possible military conflict. Poland currently understands that this is an immediate threat," the Ukrainian military explained.
In particular, Moscow has developed a geopolitical forecast for 2026–2035, with an assessment of its consequences extending to 2045. The documents state that the "Ukrainian issue" must be resolved by 2026.
"Because if the war continues for another 5-10 years, Russia will never be able to catch up and reach the level of the US and China," added the Representative of Ukraine's Defense Intelligence.
In conclusion, Skibitsky emphasized that Ukraine plays an important role in new approaches to organizing the European security system.
Question of ending war between Russia and Ukraine
In the past month, both the Russian and Ukrainian sides separately held a series of negotiations with the American delegation, during which they discussed the possibility of a temporary ceasefire, among other issues. According to US President Donald Trump, Washington has observed significant progress in the matter of resolving Russia's war against Ukraine.
As previously reported, Kyiv agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea and an "energy truce" with the terrorist state, Russia. In turn, the Kremlin reportedly only agreed to the "energy truce." In the case of the maritime truce, Russia demanded that the West first lift some of the sanctions against it.
