Russia planning two more heavy offensive campaigns - Zelenskyy

Russian forces are planning to launch two more heavy offensive campaigns in Ukraine. More military aid from partners is needed for the Armed Forces of Ukraine to withstand these assaults, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with Sky News.
"I am glad that all of Russia’s advances, all their offensive missions — there have already been three, and ahead they are still planning two heavy offensive campaigns — the last three of their missions have failed," Zelenskyy said.
In the president’s opinion, this is a very important signal.
"First of all, what I told Europeans and also at the White House to President Trump and his team. I said that the Russians would not succeed in taking our east, and that what they were telling you about being able to occupy the city of Sumy — all of that is lies and manipulation. We would be able to prove and demonstrate this. And that is exactly what we did. The Russians lost three campaigns," he noted.
According to Zelenskyy, the Russians lost because they suffered heavy personnel losses and lost a large amount of equipment.
"Right now, our soldiers need to hold on both morally and spiritually; they need support. And they must be supported first and foremost with weapons and financial aid from our partners. Because all finances go into the Ukrainian production of drones and electronic warfare. This is exactly what is needed to support the Ukrainian soldier now. And then we will withstand two more manipulative offensive operations from Russia," the president stated.
He reminded that Ukraine supported US President Donald Trump in his efforts, during his meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin in Alaska, to negotiate a ceasefire.
"We support a ceasefire. We are ready for a meeting at the level of leaders. And it is not as if we are begging for these meetings. I believe that any reasonable person, any reasonable leader, wants to end the war. And without agreements at the leaders’ level, this is impossible. Unfortunately, the respective meetings I mentioned did not bring a positive result and did not bring us closer to ending the war," Zelenskyy stressed.
Russian offensive failed
Recently, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian forces had completely disrupted Russia’s offensive operation on Sumy. The enemy suffered heavy losses.
"As of today, we can state that Russia’s offensive operation on Sumy has been completely disrupted by our forces. Fighting continues in the border areas of the Sumy region, but the Russian grouping in the Sumy direction has lost its offensive capabilities as a result of the losses sustained," the president said.
Zelenskyy also believes that Russian forces will not be able to seize eastern Ukraine. According to him, this cannot be a bargaining chip with the enemy.
