Russians are unsuccessfully trying to gather forces for a further assault on the village of Hryshyne, located near Pokrovsk in the Donetsk region, according to the 7th Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia attempted to use the logistics route between Shevchenkove and Pokrovsk to accumulate additional forces. To this end, Russia deployed over 30 units of light equipment, including motorcycles, buggies, and motor vehicles.

Units in the defense zone of the 7th Airborne Assault Corps destroyed some of the Russian equipment while the Russian troops were still on the march.

The strikes were carried out using M142 HIMARS multiple launch rocket systems. Ukrainian Defense Forces detected and destroyed the rest of the equipment in the southeastern outskirts of the city as Russian troops attempted to find cover.

According to available information, units of the Russian 76th Airborne Assault Division were operating in this area.

"Russia's goal is to increase pressure on the northern outskirts of Pokrovsk and then storm Hryshyne," the 7th Corps said in a statement.

The video also shows Russian troops being hit by drones and artillery.

Hryshyne

The village of Hryshyne is located north of the Pokrovsk agglomeration. The Russian troops carried out a previous attack on this settlement on December 10.

At that time, simultaneously with a mechanized assault on the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk, Russian troops attempted to break through to Hryshyne with a column of quad bikes. Ukrainian Defense Forces managed to repel the Russian army's attack.

In Hryshyne, Pokrovsk district, Donetsk region, the Church of the Intercession of the Holy Mother of God caught fire as a result of Russian shelling.

The fire broke out after Russian strikes on the night of October 27. There were no casualties.
