Russia lowers enlistment age to 14 for paramilitary training in occupied territories
Russians have significantly lowered the mandatory enlistment age in one of the military organizations in the occupied territories. From now on, children will be required to join DOSAAF (Volunteer Society for the Assistance to the Army, Aviation, and Navy) from the age of 14, according to the National Resistance Center of Ukraine.
According to the Center for National Resistance, DOSAAF prepares civilians for participation in war. In this way, the Kremlin is trying to prepare civilians for mobilization.
"Considering the failed scenario of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, Putin is expected to announce a new wave of mobilization any day now," the statement reads.
The Center for National Resistance also reminded that this year, the occupiers involved thousands of Ukrainian children in all occupied territories in the transformed military-patriotic game "Zarnitsa," another means for the Kremlin to recruit children to fight against their own country.
Militarization of Ukrainians in occupied territories
Russia continues to carry out systematic measures to militarize teenagers in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine (TOT).
It should be noted that from September 1, 2024, a new subject, "Basics of Security and Defense of the Homeland," will be introduced for 8th and 10th-grade students in all schools on occupied territories.
It was also recently reported that about a hundred thousand Ukrainian teenagers have been recruited into "Yunarmiya."
