Russia launches overnight attack on Odesa, damaging port and civilian infrastructure

Russian forces attacked Odesa and the surrounding region overnight and in the morning, destroying a business and damaging port infrastructure, a high school and an animal shelter. There were casualties, according to Odesa City Military Administration head Serhii Lysak, Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper, and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (DSNS).
"The enemy continues to attack civilian infrastructure in the Odesa region," Kiper wrote.
According to him, the strikes damaged a civilian business. Six people were injured there.
The port infrastructure, a high school, an animal shelter, a private home, and passenger and cargo vehicles were also damaged. Two more people were injured. Fires broke out at several locations.
The DSNS later clarified that a total of eight people were injured in the Odesa region. Residential buildings and an animal shelter were damaged. The attack also damaged a production facility, warehouses, a gymnasium, a dormitory, passenger vehicles, and trucks. Emergency crews extinguished all the fires.

Rescuers were hampered by repeated air-raid alerts while working at the scene.

Lysak said Russian forces attacked the city's infrastructure overnight and in the morning. A fire broke out but has since been extinguished.
The attack on the infrastructure destroyed three trucks and damaged eight others. Buildings were also damaged. Lysak initially said there were no injuries. He later reported that two people were preliminarily injured. The information is still being clarified.
As reported by RBC-Ukraine, Russia attacked Ukraine with missiles and 152 attack drones.
Ukraine's Defense Forces shot down or suppressed 109 targets, while hits were recorded at 24 locations.
Meanwhile, according to the DSNS, Russian forces struck a six-story building in Kyiv in the morning.
In Kyiv's Holosiivskyi district, one person was injured, and another 10 were evacuated. Two private homes were damaged in the Solomianskyi district.
