Russia launches over two dozen drones at Ukraine: How many were shot down
During the night of September 29, Russia launched over two dozen kamikaze drones at Ukraine. Air defense operations were carried out in four regions, according to the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Telegram.
During the night, the enemy launched 22 strike drones at Ukraine. The launch sites were located in Yeysk, Kursk, and Cape Chauda in occupied Crimea.
Air defense forces destroyed 15 drones, while electronic warfare led to the loss of five more enemy drones, with no reported consequences.
Air defense operations were conducted in Sumy, Vinnytsia, Mykolaiv, and Odesa regions.
Details on the night attack
Since the evening of September 28, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported launches and movements of Shahed drones. Movements of enemy drones were detected in Odesa, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Poltava regions.
Additionally, in the early morning hours, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, launching over 10 guided aerial bombs (KABs) at the city. An apartment building and private houses were destroyed, resulting in injuries to four individuals, with one person possibly trapped under the rubble.
