Russia launches over 9,600 missiles at Ukraine since beginning of war: How many intercepted
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has launched over 9,600 missiles against Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders have shot down nearly 2,500 of them, according to the speech of Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Oleksandr Syrskyi, at the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities.
According to Syrskyi, a total of 9,627 missiles have been launched by the Russians against Ukraine, of which 2,429 were shot down by Ukrainian defenders. The enemy used the following weapons:
- 111 Kinzhal missiles (28 shot down)
- 894 Kalibr missiles (443 shot down)
- 1,846 Kh-555/101 missiles (1,441 shot down)
- 211 Oniks missiles (12 shot down)
- 202 Iskander-K missiles (76 shot down)
- 15 Kh-35 missiles (1 shot down)
- 57 other missiles (0 shot down)
- 362 Kh-22/32 missiles (2 shot down)
- 1,300 Iskander-M/KN-23 missiles (56 shot down)
- 6 Tsirkon missiles (2 shot down)
- 68 Tochka-U missiles (6 shot down)
- 1,547 Kh-25/29/31/35/58/59/60 missiles (343 shot down)
- 3,008 S-300/400 missiles (19 shot down)
The targets included 5,197 civilian objects and 1,998 military objects.
Additionally, Syrskyi stated that since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has deployed 13,997 strike drones against Ukraine, with 9,272 being shot down. The country was attacked by:
- 13,315 Shahed drones (8,836 shot down)
- 682 other drones (430 shot down)
The drones targeted 1,022 civilian objects and 3,697 military objects.
What preceded this
Russian forces are actively using their missiles and drones to strike Ukraine. Their targets are most often civilian infrastructure.
