Russia launches nearly 50 Shahed drones at Kyiv: Air defense responds

On the night of March 31, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with drones, directing nearly 50 UAVs at the Ukrainian capital, the Kyiv City Military Administration reports.
The air raid alarm in the capital was declared twice in the past day: from 10:29 p.m. to 03:10 a.m. and from 04:14 p.m. to 04:51 a.m. Kyiv time.
Total duration: 5 hours and 17 minutes.
During the night of March 31, about 49 enemy drones were detected in the airspace over Kyiv and its outskirts. Eleven were destroyed by air defense forces, 30 left the airspace, and the rest were lost locally.
"The effort to eliminate enemy drones continued in other regions along their flight paths. No casualties or damage were recorded within Kyiv," the report states.
Night attack on Ukraine's territory
On the evening of Sunday, March 30, the Russians launched another wave of drone attacks on Ukraine, primarily using Shahed-type UAVs. The enemy drones were launched from multiple directions.
In Kyiv, the air raid alarm due to Russian drones was declared twice.
In addition, a ballistic missile threat was reported in the evening.
As previously reported, Ukraine's Air Forces have destroyed approximately 4,043 Russian airborne targets since the start of the full-scale invasion. In particular, on the night of March 30, Russian troops launched 111 drones at Ukraine and also fired a ballistic missile from Russia's Rostov region.
