On the night of December 13, Russian troops launched a massive attack on civilian and energy facilities in the Odesa region. Most of Odesa is without heat and water supply, according to Odesa Regional Military Administration head Oleh Kiper, Odesa City Military Administration chief Serhii Lysak, and the State Emergency Service.

“The Odesa region is experiencing one of the most massive air attacks by the enemy. During the night, civilian facilities, energy, and industrial infrastructure were damaged,” Kiper said.

The Russian strikes caused fires and damaged administrative buildings and energy facilities. Rescue workers are working to eliminate the consequences. In some areas of the region, there are power outages.

According to the State Emergency Service, four people were injured. There were also fires at energy infrastructure facilities and warehouses with textile products. Residential buildings, an administrative building, civilian vehicles, and fire trucks were damaged.

“Given that the air attack is ongoing, I urge the residents of the region not to ignore the alarm signals and to stay in safe places,” the head of the regional military administration emphasized.

According to Lysak, energy infrastructure facilities have been left without power. Most of the city has no heat or water supply.

Preliminary reports indicate two casualties. Information is being verified.

Resilience centers are operating around the clock in the city. City hospitals have been switched to autonomous operation from alternative power sources. Water and fuel supplies have been secured.

Drinking water complexes are operating from generators. Technical water is also being delivered to the districts.

According to Lysak, all traction substations in Odesa were left without power, and the operation of trams and trolleybuses was temporarily suspended.

He instructed motor carriers to increase the number of buses on city routes.

Attack on Ukraine on December 13

On the night of Saturday, December 13, Russia launched its most massive strike on southern Ukraine. The enemy used various types of missiles and strike drones.

The Russians struck critical and industrial infrastructure in the Mykolaiv region with missiles and drones. As of 08:40 a.m. (Kyiv time), the attack was still ongoing.

As a result of the attack, settlements in the Bashtanskyi and Mykolaiv districts were left without electricity. According to Mayor Oleksandr Senkevich, restoration work is ongoing, and there is no information about casualties.

In Mykolaiv, public transport is operating with restrictions due to power outages.
