Russian forces attacked several regions of Ukraine overnight using jet-powered Shahed drones, Italmas drones, and UAVs of other types. Most of the hostile targets were destroyed by air defense forces, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"On the night of January 15, the enemy attacked with 82 strike UAVs of the Shahed type, including jet-powered ones, as well as Gerbera, Italmas, and UAVs of other types from the following directions: Kursk, Oryol, Bryansk, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, Millerovo in Russia, Hvardiiske in the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, and Donetsk," the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine said.

About 60 of the drones were Shaheds. The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data as of 08:30, air defense shot down or suppressed 61 enemy UAVs. At the same time, impacts of 21 strike drones were recorded at 13 locations, as well as the fall of downed drones at three locations.

"The attack is ongoing, with several enemy UAVs still in the airspace. Follow safety rules," the Air Force added.

Russian drone strikes on Ukraine

This morning, Russians attacked Kyiv with drones. During the attack by Russian forces, debris from a UAV fell on a 15-story residential building, destroying a wall on the building's technical floor.

In addition, yesterday, January 14, during a morning attack by Russian UAVs on Kyiv, one drone fell on a private house in the Darnytskyi district of the capital, causing minor damage to the building's facade.

Also on January 13, the Russian army carried out another massive strike on Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine. From late at night, the enemy used various types of aerial weapons, including missiles and strike drones. Ballistic missiles were launched at the capital.
