The enemy attacked Zaporizhzhia with Shahed strike drones, one of which hit a multi-story building. As a result, a fire broke out, and two people have already reported injured, according to Ivan Fedorov, head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, on Telegram.

“Early this morning, the Russians attacked the regional center with a drone. The Shahed strike caused a fire in a multi-story building. Rescuers are currently working on the scene, evacuating residents from the upper floors,” the report stated.

Fedorov also added that two people are known to be injured: a man suffered shrapnel wounds, and a woman was poisoned by carbon monoxide.

"More than fifty rescuers and 14 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire that broke out in a Zaporizhzhia high-rise following an attack by an enemy drone," reported Ivan Fedorov, adding that the fire is now under control.

It is also known that the number of people injured in the attack on the city has risen to three.

Previous attacks on Zaporizhzhia

On December 14, the Russians attacked Zaporizhzhia with aerial bombs. Fourteen people were reported injured as a result of the shelling.

In particular, the occupiers targeted a grocery store in one of the city’s neighborhoods. The store’s name was not officially announced, but based on published photos of the aftermath, it was visible that it was an ATB chain store.

Another district in the city was also attacked, where cars were set on fire. Initially, six people were reported injured, but over time, the number increased, and as of now, there are 14 confirmed injuries.
