Russia has launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing 55 drones from four directions. Air defense forces have destroyed most of the enemy UAVs, the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports.

On the night of April 9, Russia carried out a massive drone attack on Ukraine.

The drones were launched from the directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk, and the temporarily occupied Crimea, including Shahed strike drones and imitator drones.

Aviation, air defense units, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled the air attack.

As of the morning of April 9, 32 enemy strike UAVs have been confirmed as shot down over northern and eastern Ukraine.

Furthermore, 8 imitator drones failed to reach their targets – they were lost locally without causing damage.

Due to the Russian attack, the Kharkiv and Dnipropetrovsk regions were affected.

Russian shelling of Ukraine

On the night of April 9, the Russian army launched a mass drone attack on the Dnipropetrovsk region. Most of the strikes targeted the city of Dnipro.

Due to the attack, 15 people were injured, 8 of whom are in hospitals. The condition of the majority is moderate.

In addition, on April 8, Russia launched a mass drone strike on Kharkiv. The attack caused damage, fires, and there were casualties.
