On the evening of April 8, Russians launched a massive drone attack on Kharkiv. The strike caused damage, fires, and casualties, according to the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.

On the evening of April 8, the Russian forces launched a massive drone strike on the Kyiv, Industrial, and Osnoviansky districts of the city," the message reads.

As a result of the attack, there were hits on civilian enterprises, warehouses, and production buildings, as well as car service stations.

"Six fire centers occurred. The total area of the fire exceeded 1,200 square meters," the State Emergency Service reported.

Emergency services added that, according to preliminary data, two individuals were injured as a result of the Russian shelling.

Attack on Kharkiv

Around 20 strikes were heard and recorded in Kharkiv. The hardest hit was the Osnoviansky district. The attack took place between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM.

As a result, civilian enterprises, warehouses, production facilities, vehicles, and other properties were damaged.

According to Dmytro Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, two individuals were injured: a man, around 65 years old, with shrapnel wounds to the head and acute stress reaction, and a woman, approximately 55 years old.
