Russian drones attack on Kharkiv - Over 20 strikes in city

On the evening of April 8, Kharkiv was hit by a massive drone attack. The city experienced over 20 strikes, resulting in damage and fires, according to Kharkiv Mayor Ihor Terekhov and the head of the Kharkiv Regional Military Administration, Oleh Synehubov.
"Preliminary data shows more than 20 strikes across the city this evening. 17 of them occurred in the Osnovianskyi district," wrote Terekhov at 11:41 PM.
Explosions in the city were reported between 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM. Recently, the head of the regional military administration shared details of the attacks on each affected district:

Shevchenkivskyi district: A drone hit an open area.

Kyivskyi district: A fire broke out on the second floor and roof of an abandoned building, along with a drone strike in the yard of a private house. The roof, fence, and outbuildings were damaged.

Industrial district: Three drones fell in an open area.

Osnovianskyi district: Fires broke out as a result of drone strikes.
"Relevant services are currently working to eliminate the consequences of Russia's strikes," he added.
At least two people were injured in the Osnovianskyi district, as Terekhov had previously informed.
"At about 9:00 PM, a 'Shahed' attack on Kharkiv began. There were hits in at least four districts of the city, as well as the outskirts. As of now, one person is reported injured. A total of more than 15 explosions occurred," said Dmytro Yatsichenko, head of the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office, at 00:23 AM.
Earlier, Mayor Ihor Terekhov informed about two injured people in the Osnovianskyi district.

Dmytro Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, confirmed that Russians carried out about 20 strikes on Kharkiv. They targeted the Industrial, Kyiv, Shevchenkivskyi, and Osnovianskyi districts of the city. In Kyiv district, about 10 private houses were damaged, in Shevchenkivskyi there were hits in an open area, but the most strikes were in Osnoviansky district.
As a result of the attack, civilian enterprises, administrative buildings, hangars, warehouses, and production facilities were damaged, as well as vehicles. The enemy used Geran-2 drones for the attack.
Chubenko also confirmed that as a result of the enemy shelling, two individuals were injured: a man, around 65 years old, with shrapnel wounds to the head, and a woman, approximately 55 years old.
Attack on Kharkiv
Recently, Dmytro Chubenko, spokesperson for the Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor's Office, stated that Russia has recently intensified its strikes of Kharkiv. He also mentioned that the tactics and trends of attacks have changed, with drone groups now being used for them.
The situation in the region is even worse, as the Russians have been striking settlements daily. Kupiansk and the surrounding community are most affected by the strikes.
