On the night of May 27, the Russian army attacked with drones of various types from five directions. Air defense forces were operating in 12 locations, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Starting at 11:50 p.m. on May 26, the enemy attacked with 60 Shahed-type attack drones and various types of imitation drones.

The drones were launched from the following directions:

  • Millerovo
  • Oryol
  • Kursk
  • Primorsko-Akhtarsk
  • Hvardiiske - temporarily occupied Crimea.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 9 a.m., air defense neutralized 43 enemy Shahed drones and other types of drones in the east, north, and south of the country. 35 were shot down by firepower, and 8 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare.

Enemy air strikes were recorded in 9 locations, and downed attack drones fell in 3 locations.

Russian air attacks

Last weekend, the Russian military launched three massive combined attacks on the territory of Ukraine. On the night of May 26, the aggressor fired cruise missiles from Tu-95MS bombers and launched more than 300 Shaheds at the country.
