Russian forces struck the village of Radushne near Kryvyi Rih with a North Korean ballistic missile overnight on July 30, according to a statement by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The president stressed that, according to preliminary information, the aggressor country used a North Korean missile against Radushne for the first time in a long while. He added that expert examinations are still underway, but all indications so far point to a North Korean ballistic missile.

"The alliance between Moscow's s*** and the insane regime in North Korea exists for missiles, for North Korean troops here in Europe, on our borders, and for the killing of our Ukrainian children," the president said.

Zelenskyy noted that many around the world condemned the strike and expressed sympathy over the loss of life. He also pointed out that European countries had much to say about the Russian missile that violated Poland's airspace and exploded in a field near Lublin.

"The most important thing is not just sympathy and not just condemnation, but air defense missiles and exactly the kind of pressure on Russia that can stop this senseless Russian war, all of its strikes, and its terror," the head of state emphasized.

He stressed that the key priority is air defense missiles for Patriot, NASAMS, IRIS-T, HAWK, and other systems.

Strike on a large family's home

As reported earlier, Russian forces launched a missile strike on the settlement of Radushne in the Kryvyi Rih district overnight on July 30. The attack completely destroyed a private home where a large family lived.

According to local media reports, the victims of the Russian strike were 47-year-old Artem Voronov and his 41-year-old wife Olena. Seven children were also in the house with them: 17-year-old Mark, who was studying to become a railway worker in Kryvyi Rih, as well as 15-year-old Dominika, 14-year-old Viorika, 12-year-old Zakharii, 11-year-old Azarii Ilai, 10-year-old Federika, and six-year-old Emilia.

The family's grandmother said that Artem and Olena were raising 10 children and already had three grandchildren. At the time of the attack, the couple, seven of their younger children, and their 18-month-old grandson Artem, who was visiting them, were inside the house. All of them were trapped under the rubble.

According to the grandmother, the eldest son, Danylo, the father of the deceased toddler, is currently serving as a captain in the artillery forces. Two other adult children of the couple live abroad: their daughter, Aurika, in Germany, and their son, Matvii, in Poland.

Later, Zelenskyy shared a photo of the family killed in Radushne and said that these are the people who should be seen by those making decisions at the Pentagon, in European capitals, and around the world.
