Russia keeps one Kalibr carrier in Black Sea: Salvo revealed
A Russian vessel carrying Kalibr cruise missiles with a potential salvo of up to four missiles has been detected in the Black Sea, according to the Ukrainian Navy.
Meanwhile, there are no hostile vessels in the Sea of Azov. In the Mediterranean Sea, two Russian ships are present, one of which is also armed with Kalibr missiles, capable of launching up to four missiles.
Over the past 24 hours, 20 ships have passed through the Kerch Strait in the interest of Russia. Eight of these vessels entered the Black Sea, with four continuing towards the Bosphorus, while 12 ships entered the Sea of Azov, three of which came from the Bosphorus.
The military added that Russia continues to violate the 1974 International Convention for the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) by disabling Automatic Identification Systems (AIS).
Earlier, Ukrainian Navy spokesperson Dmytro Pletenchuk said that Russian Black Sea Fleet submarines are mostly on duty in the eastern part of the Black Sea. He also noted that their presence in the Sea of Azov is nearly impossible due to shallow waters, where they can only remain in a surfaced position and navigate through limited corridors.
