Russia issues third arrest warrant for head of Ukraine's Presidential Office Budanov

Russia’s court has issued another arrest warrant for Kyrylo Budanov, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine. He was accused of "using prohibited methods of warfare," according to Budanov and TASS.
Budanov stressed that the decisions of the Russian court have no significance for him.
"Only my work matters — the work that makes the enemy panic and come up with such masterpieces of absurdity. I consider these actions by the enemy a kind of recognition of my effectiveness. Well, I cannot lower the bar, and I will continue to work just as productively," the head of the Presidential Office said, noting that this was his third arrest warrant.
The Moscow court reportedly ordered the arrest of Kyrylo Budanov in absentia. The aggressor state accuses him of “using prohibited means and methods of warfare.”
Russian media reported that the court rejected a so-called appeal by Budanov’s defense. At the same time, Russian propagandists did not specify who filed the appeal.
This is already the third arrest in absentia of the head of the Presidential Office in Russia. In April 2023, Moscow’s Lefortovo District Court issued a similar ruling, when a case was opened against him under a "terrorism" charge.
In late 2023, Moscow’s Basmanny District Court ordered Budanov’s arrest in absentia for the second time. Russia then alleged that he was involved in more than 100 drone attacks on Russian territory.
It was recently reported that a Russian court ordered the arrest in absentia of Conor Kennedy, a grandnephew of 35th US President John F. Kennedy. The Russian-installed authorities accuse him of mercenary activities over his participation in the war on Ukraine’s side.
