Finnish President Alexander Stubb said how many Russian soldiers are killed for every fallen Ukrainian defender, Yle reports.

The Finnish president believes that, from a military standpoint, the situation for Ukraine looks much better than at any point during the full-scale war.

"The first year of this war for Ukraine was a fight for survival. Then, for three years, it was resilience. And now it is purely mathematics," Stubb said.

According to him, there are currently eight dead Russian soldiers for every fallen Ukrainian soldier.

"In addition, the popularity of the war in Russia is declining, meaning Ukraine currently has the advantage," the Finnish president emphasized.

Russian losses in the war

Deputy Head of the Presidential Office, Brigadier General Pavlo Palisa, stated that Russian losses in Donbas have tripled, while their advance remains minimal.

According to Palisa, despite Russia's ambitious plans for 2026, the Kremlin currently lacks the real forces to implement them.

In addition, the consequences of heavy losses in the full-scale war against Ukraine are becoming increasingly noticeable in the aggressor country. Russian media reports that due to the flow of wounded soldiers, civilian hospitals and maternity hospitals in Russia are being massively converted into military hospitals.

At the same time, Russian regions are complaining about a shortage of doctors, a lack of hospital beds, and problems with access to medical care for civilian patients.
