Russian troops have intensified their assault operations in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces and are attempting to block Ukrainian logistics in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Assault Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian troops have intensified their assault operations in the area of responsibility of the 7th Rapid Response Corps of the Airborne Forces and are attempting to block Ukrainian logistics in the Pokrovsk direction.

"Russia's dominant tactic is infiltration - attempts to penetrate in small groups, bypassing the forward positions of our military," the corps says in a statement.

The command specifies that a group of Russian troops had recently managed to infiltrate one of the settlements in the Pokrovsk agglomeration. As a result of the measures taken, Ukrainian soldiers destroyed the Russian troops, and there is no threat of Russian forces accumulating there.

Russia is conducting round-the-clock reconnaissance and actively using drones.

"Up to 600 Russian FPV and strike drones are recorded daily," the corps says.

According to the military, Ukrainian units are acting in accordance with the situation, remotely mining enemy routes, using fire groups and drones, and, if necessary, creating additional engineering barriers.

"All our actions are aimed not only at stopping Russia's advance, but also at preserving the lives of Ukrainian military personnel," the 7th Corps of the Airborne Forces emphasizes.

The statement stresses that the situation is under control in close cooperation with the senior command.

Fighting in Pokrovsk direction

Captain Artem Sholudko, an officer of the Spartan Brigade, said that the Russians had changed their tactics in the Pokrovsk direction. In particular, Russian troops are now using small infantry groups supported by motorized equipment and vehicles, and the Russians have become less likely to use armored vehicles.

In addition, some media outlets reported on a possible Russian breakthrough near Pokrovsk. Despite this, Andrii Kryshchenko, deputy commander of the Rubizh brigade of the National Guard of Ukraine, said that the situation near Pokrovsk has now stabilized.

According to ISW, Russian troops have recently advanced in the Pokrovsk direction, particularly northeast of Chunyishyne and in the central part of Novopavlivka.
