Russia hits Ukrainian Armed Forces training unit in rear with ballistic missiles, soldiers killed

Russian occupation forces, during today’s massive strike on Ukraine, attacked the territory of one of the training units of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Soldiers were killed, according to the Pivden Operational Command on Facebook.
As noted by the Operational Command, the enemy used two ballistic missiles for the attack. The training unit is located in a rear and relatively calm part of the country.
"Due to the enemy strike, despite the alert, movement to shelters, and other safety measures taken, it was not possible to completely avoid casualties. Emergency services are working at the scene. All necessary medical assistance is being promptly provided to the wounded. In the near future, the servicemembers of the unit will be able to contact their families," the military said.
They specified that, in accordance with the decision of Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi, the Military Law Enforcement Service has already launched an internal investigation.
The Operational Command expressed its condolences to the families of the fallen soldiers.
Attacks on training units
Russian occupation forces have repeatedly attacked training units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as training grounds where Ukrainian defenders receive instruction.
In particular, on June 22, the Russian forces struck a training range of one of the brigades of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. That attack resulted in killed and wounded personnel.
Also, on September 24, the enemy used Iskander missiles to shell the territory of one of the training units of the Ground Forces. There were losses among the personnel.
Against the backdrop of a series of such attacks, Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi stated that new underground shelters are being constructed at training centers.
