In the early hours of Sunday, October 12, the Russian army launched 118 attack drones and one Kh-31 missile against Ukraine, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

The assault began around 8 p.m. on October 11, with waves of Shahed-type drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles approaching from four directions. The guided missile was launched from the occupied part of Zaporizhzhia region.

Ukraine's air defenses — including anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare systems, drone units, and mobile fire groups — repelled the attack.

By 9 a.m., preliminary data showed that air defense forces had shot down or suppressed 103 Shahed drones and other UAVs over northern, eastern, and southern regions of the country.

One missile and 15 attack drones struck 10 locations across Ukraine.

As a result of Russian attacks, the Donetsk region was left completely without power after targeted strikes on energy infrastructure.

In Bilhorod-Dnistrovskyi, repair crews are continuing recovery efforts after a nighttime drone strike damaged critical infrastructure facilities.

Meanwhile, new groups of enemy drones were launched on Sunday morning. Air raid alerts have been declared across several northern regions, as well as in Kyiv.
