Russia hits Kupiansk (Kharkiv region) residential area, three injured

Russia struck the residential area of Kupiansk once again, injuring three people, including an elderly woman, according to the Kharkiv regional prosecutor’s office.
According to the investigation, on May 18 at around 9:30 a.m., the Russian army dropped an aerial bomb on a private neighborhood in Kupiansk. The munition hit a road near one of the houses.
As a result of the explosion, a 55-year-old man was injured. Two women, aged 75 and 55, suffered acute emotional shock. Buildings and outbuildings in the city were also damaged.
The prosecutor’s office has opened a criminal case for violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 1, Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Investigators and prosecutors are collecting evidence of another war crime committed by Russia.
Shelling of Kupiansk
Recall that on May 3, Russian forces struck Kupiansk, with a direct hit on a rescue station.
On the night of May 4, Russian aviation again attacked Kupiansk. Residential buildings were destroyed, there were casualties, and large fires broke out.
In April, Russians also dropped aerial bombs on Kupiansk. Three people were injured in that attack.
One of the guided aerial bombs hit the yard of a private property, causing a fire. At another location, a medical facility building was damaged, eight garage boxes and three medical vehicles caught fire.
