Russia hits Chernihiv region: Officials show photos of destruction after strikes

Late on the evening of October 10, Russian forces attacked energy workers in the Chernihiv region. One person was killed as a result of the strike, according to the Telegram channel of the head of the Chernihiv OVA, Viacheslav Chaus.
"On the evening of October 10, in the territory of the Semenivska community, a Russian drone hit a service vehicle of the regional energy company. The vehicle caught fire, and during the emergency response, a second strike hit another company vehicle," Chaus said.
According to him, one employee was killed at the scene, and four others were injured and hospitalized. The Russians also shelled the local fire brigade that arrived to provide assistance.
Later, Chaus reported that a severely wounded energy company employee died in the hospital. The number of fatalities from the targeted Russian strike on repair workers has risen to two.
In addition, over the past day, the Russian army carried out strikes in the Chernihiv region using attack drones. Fires broke out in the civilian sector and at infrastructure sites, and vehicles were damaged.
Enemy drones struck critical infrastructure in the Nizhyn district, igniting the roof of a production workshop. Thanks to the prompt actions of rescuers, the fire was extinguished.
Drone strikes were also recorded on an administrative building in Novhorod-Siverskyi. The fire was quickly contained and completely extinguished by emergency services.
Russian strike on Ukraine overnight on October 11
Russian forces carried out attacks using strike drones on several northern, eastern, and southern regions.
Overnight, Odesa and the Odesa region were heavily targeted by attack drones. The city experienced partial power and water outages.
At the same time, local residents reported power outages in various districts of Odesa, including Slobodka, Moldavanka, and Prymorskyi. An RBC-Ukraine correspondent also reported water cuts in the Kyivskyi district of the city.
