According to intelligence reports, the Russian Federation has a specific plan to disrupt the Global Peace Summit, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported this during a meeting with representatives of partner states and international organizations working in Ukraine.

"We have precise intelligence information - specific data - that Russia not only wants to disrupt the Peace Summit but also has a specific plan on how to do it: how to reduce the participation of countries, how to act to prolong the absence of peace. And together, we must counter this - we must work in unity for the sake of a just peace," the president stated.

Zelenskyy added that today everyone is interested in forcing Russia to peace and respect for international law, and the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland will provide an opportunity for a just peace and the restoration of the effectiveness of international law.

Global Peace Summit

The peace formula was first mentioned by Zelenskyy back in November 2022. It is intended to contribute to ending the full-scale Russian invasion and more.

As early as January 2024, Ukraine and Switzerland began preparing for the Global Peace Summit, during which they plan to discuss the formula. The summit is expected to take place from June 15 to 16.

According to Andriy Yermak, the head of the Office of the President, the Russian Federation may also be invited to the summit, but likely not until the second round.

Some media outlets also report that among the conference participants could be the President of the United States, Joe Biden.
