Russia - Explosions and automatic gunfire in the Belgorod
Residents of two settlements in the Belgorod region of Russia reported hearing explosions and bursts of automatic gunfire late in the evening on August 12, according to Baza
"Residents of Chervona Yaruga and Prilissya in the Belgorod region report hearing sounds of explosions and bursts of automatic gunfire near the settlements," the message states.
No official information about what happened has been reported.
Explosions and fires in the Belgorod region of Russia
In recent months, there have been almost daily explosions in the Belgorod region of Russia. Regional authorities often attribute them to artillery shelling and drone attacks.
For instance, on July 4, loud explosions were heard by residents of Belgorod. It was reported that air defense systems were supposedly in operation. Two days later, on July 6, explosions were also heard over Belgorod and the surrounding area.
Furthermore, on June 24, a fire broke out at an industrial facility in Shebekino, Belgorod region. The cause was reportedly a drone attack.
Additionally, on July 24, there were loud explosions in the Belgorod region. Regional authorities claimed that air defense systems were activated and two aerial targets were destroyed.
