Russian aircraft dropped guided bombs on Kramatorsk and the nearby settlement of Bilenke on July 10, killing several civilians, including a child, according to Donetsk Regional Military Administration head Vadym Filashkin.

Russia kills four people in Kramatorsk

At least four people were killed and nine others injured in the attacks on the Kramatorsk community. A 14-year-old boy was among the victims.

"At around 3:00 p.m. today, Russian forces dropped seven guided bombs on Kramatorsk and Bilenke. One hit an apartment building, another struck a store, while the rest landed in a residential neighborhood," Filashkin said.

Emergency services are working at the impact sites, and the injured are receiving medical treatment.

Filashkin said the final death toll and the full extent of the damage are still being determined.

"The Russians knew exactly what they were targeting. This was another deliberate strike on people, on residential neighborhoods, on lives they are incapable of creating or understanding," he said.

Police in the Donetsk region identified the four people killed as:

  • a 14-year-old boy and his 18-year-old sister;
  • a 45-year-old man;
  • a 69-year-old woman.

"Thirteen people were injured: six women and seven men aged between 35 and 81, including the father of the killed children. One of the victims is unconscious, and his age is currently being determined," the police added.

Russian strikes on Kramatorsk

One of the guided bombs damaged the building housing Nova Poshta's (logistics operator) Branch No. 11 in Kramatorsk, sparking a fire.

On May 8, Roman Simashov, deputy head of the Kramatorsk District State Administration, died from injuries sustained in a Russian strike on the city three days earlier.

On the evening of May 5, Russian forces attacked central Kramatorsk with high-explosive bombs, killing at least five people and injuring five others.
