Russia drops bombs on Sumy region: One person killed, houses destroyed

On March 23, Russian forces conducted air strikes on the Myropilska community in Sumy region. As a result, a woman was killed, and houses were damaged and destroyed, the Prosecutor's Office of Sumy region reports.
According to the Prosecutor's Office, on March 23, Russian troops fired throughout the day and dropped guided aerial bombs on the civilian infrastructure of the Myropilska community of the Sumy region.
"The enemy attack killed a 61-year-old shop assistant and wounded another person," the Ukrainian law enforcement officers said.
In addition, a number of private houses were damaged and destroyed as a result of Russian attacks.
Prosecutors, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies, documented the consequences of the hostile shelling.
"Under the procedural guidance of the Sumy Regional and Sumy District Prosecutor's Offices, pre-trial investigations are being conducted into the commission of war crimes (Part 1, Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine)," the Ukrainian law enforcement officers said.
The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by investigators of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region.
Situation in Sumy region
The Sumy region is almost constantly suffering from Russian strikes. The border settlements of the region are most often shelled (the occupiers can use not only UAVs, missiles, and bombs, but also artillery and mortars). At the same time, the enemy is also attacking the city of Sumy.
On Friday, March 21, the Russian troops launched a massive air strike on the border of the Sumy region. The attack caused a large-scale fire and destroyed houses.
In the Krasnopilska community, Russian air strikes killed two people, injured two others, and damaged a cultural center, administrative buildings, shops, and civilian homes.
On March 20, two people were killed in Krasnopillia, Sumy region, as a result of Russian attacks with guided aerial bombs.
